The Reading Liberal Democrats have announced their candidates for the 2024 elections to Reading Borough Council on the 2nd of May.  They will be fielding a full slate of candidates for all 16 wards of Reading Borough Council, from Abbey to Whitley.

Commenting, Cllr. James Moore, leader of the Liberal Democrats on Reading Borough Council, and Lib Dem candidate in Tilehurst ward on May the 2nd, said: "I'm delighted to have such a strong team of candidates joining me in the local election campaign this year.  Our candidates are all passionate about our communities here in Reading and are determined to stand up for the liberal values that underpin our town.

"With a decade of underinvestment and mismanagement by the government, and over three decades of almost-unbroken Labour control here in Reading, it's time for a change.  The Conservatives are running out of everyone's money and patience, and Labour are running out of ideas - Reading needs a fresh start.

"With this strong team of candidates, and a clear vision for our town to follow in our manifesto, the Liberal Democrats are determined to fight for the fair deal we all know Reading deserves.  If you spend five minutes voting for a Liberal Democrat candidate on May the 2nd, they will spend the next four years fighting hard for you and your community."

The 2024 Reading Liberal Democrat local election manifesto will be announced in the coming days.
