Britain’s political system is broken

This is down to our broken voting system.

At the last General Election, the Conservatives received just 43% of the vote. But that gave them 56% of the MPs in Parliament and 100% of the power! They can neglect and ignore huge parts of the country and people are powerless to do anything about it.

Leader of the Liberal Democrats on Reading Borough Council, Councillor James Moore is calling for our unfair voting system to be replaced once and for all;

“In Reading East and Reading West alone a total of 64,856 votes were wasted at the last General Election.”

“We need a proportional voting system to make sure every vote counts equally - giving everyone a meaningful say in who represents them - and the power to hold them to account.”

“The Lib Dems are leading the call for fair votes. With your support at the next election the Lib Dems can give the strongest fight possible to fix our politics once and for all.”
