Vania Costa-Krol is an NHS worker and young mother from Caversham; she is passionate about ensuring that Caversham Heights remains a safe, nurturing community for all residents. She loves being part of Reading's vibrant community and can often be seen walking in the parks along the riverside with her children. She is keen that Reading builds on the strengths of its diverse communities and continues to be a welcoming town to all. She is passionate about the environment and the defence of our civil liberties against an increasingly authoritarian government. Vania is also keen to ensure that people get the specialist support they need, particularly SEN children and neurodiverse adults in society and the workplace.
Vania is also highly critical of Labour-run Reading Borough Council's closure of the station underpass for the summer and joins the Reading Lib Dems calling for a cleaner alternative route to be made available, and for the works to be accelerated.
