Chris Burden for Caversham

Chris Burden has lived in the Thames Valley all his life, and in Caversham for the last 22 years: he is a local.  Originally from a science/technology background, he now works in project management.  Chris believes in the importance of openness, tolerance, and individual liberty. Fairness and open communication would be at the heart of all he would do, if elected.  But, confronted by deep unfairness, inequalities and divisions in society, he would focus particularly on social justice.  As a councillor on Reading Borough Council, he would hold the Labour administration to account.

Chris is also highly critical of Labour-run Reading Borough Council's closure of the station underpass for the summer and joins the Reading Lib Dems calling for a cleaner alternative route to be made available, and for the works to be accelerated.
