Henry Wright grew up and has lived in Reading for most of his life, now living in the town centre. He joined the Lib Dems because he wants people to be free to live their lives, unencumbered by poverty or discrimination. He's standing to reduce living costs (on housing and transport) and to create a better health and care system. If elected, he'd seek to achieve these priorities and more through more housing supply, increasing council involvement in the local NHS, and (as a keen cyclist) much better cycle lanes!
Henry is also highly critical of Labour-run Reading Borough Council's closure of the station underpass for the summer and is calling for a cleaner alternative route to be made available, and for the works to be accelerated.
Henry will also be the Liberal Democrat candidate for Reading Central in the General Election.
