Local Liberal Democrat campaigner Francis Jakeman (pictured above on the left) has launched an online survey to find out what local residents across Redlands think about cycling in our area.
Francis said, “More and more residents across Redlands are cycling both from and to work and as a leisure activity.
“I think more should be done to make this a safe choice and one that all local people can do without any fear of other traffic – but I want to hear your views.
“The better provision for cycling is not just about cycle lanes and cycle routes, but it is about creating a street and road environment that is safe for all users – pedestrian, cyclists, cars and buses.
“This includes: local roads that are safe for all users, specific cycle provision on main roads, adequate cycle parking (including at train stations, major employers, schools, colleges, etc).
“I would be grateful if residents could complete this quick online survey. I shall then be able to take up any issues or concerns with Reading Borough Council and work on solutions to get even more of us on our bikes.”
